use as regular calculator

Is there a possibility to use it as a regular calculator. It is great to se the entire calculation to see if the formulas are right.

Well, when I plot in a formula such as sqroot[(4/3)*pi*8], it would be nice to have it calculated as well. To do the actual calculation and get the numerical value I have to use another scientific calculator. By the way, it does not have n'th root. A minor thing, but I prefer it to the alternative since it is less writing.

Tried approx(sqr(4*8*pi/3))?

ANd for the n-th root of x: Try x^(1/n) (with approx() for numerical result).

Excellent! This solved it. Still, I miss the n'th root function...

Would it be possible to add a button automatically bracketed my formula and wrote approx? Or perhaps programmable and movable buttons so I could make my own layout on the most used calculations?

This is a very good calculator, nice to be able to remove all the others I have been evaluating!

There is an approx Button. Try Numeric->~~. And I tould you how to calculate the n-th root. You can edit keyboard.xml yourself if you wish.
